Competion Attire And More!
Parents and Athletes,

Below are a few things to remember about competitions.

1. Athletes must compete in their competition leotards. Girls may or may not wear team approved shorts. We sell them in the office if your athlete wishes to wear shorts.

2. WHITE trampoline shoes are required. If your athlete comes to a competition with out trampoline shoes, they will NOT be able to compete on either trampoline or double mini.

3. Hair must be up and tight to the head. This includes french braids (turned under if they have long hair), buns (not recommend if they do any skills to their back), piggy buns. Pony tails, piggy tails, long braids are NOT ALLOWED. NO bobby pins and NO glitter spray. Barretts that clip close to the head are okay.

4. Bras and underwear can not be showing. IF they wish to wear underwear, it MUST be BLACK. If we see other colors showing, they will be asked to go change. We understand that with the new tank leotards it is very difficult to hide a bra. If one must be worn, it MUST be BLACK and hide it the best you can. NO clips on the backs of the bras... they get caught in the trampoline beds.

5. Please make sure your athletes is at the competition a minimum of 1 hour before their event starts. This is because the we are allowed to run 1/2 hour early if things are moving quickly, and they are usually called to staging 1/2 hour before their event to check in and stretch.

6. Staging at every meet is located in different places. Do NOT bring extra stuff to staging. If it is cold, warm ups are welcome to be worn to staging and to stretch in. Do NOT bring blankets, backpacks, phones, extra crap. Do not go to staging before you are called to staging, it can get crowded and it is NOT helpful to have extra bodies in staging. Parents are NOT allowed in staging unless you are a volunteer with that meet.

7. If at all possible, please sit with the team in a common location in seating. This can be difficult as everyone arrives at different times, but if we need to find a missing child or a parent, this can be very helpful. PLUS, the kids get to enjoy each others company and we have had MANY parents over the years make life long friends through the gym.

8. Food. Most venues don't allow you to bring in food from outside. But that may not meet yours or your childs' dietary needs. Hide snacks all you want. We ALWAYS encourage our athletes to eat well, so please... sneak all you want. NO COOLERS or lunch bag lookin' things.

9. Have fun! Be encouraging to your young athletes as they compete. We are super proud of all of our kiddos and are so thankful to have them in our lives and to be part of their lives.

10. Encourage your athletes to meet other kids from other gyms. They will see them again and again at meets. We are supportive and encouraging to EVERY kid at competition, whether they are from our gym or not.
